With nitrous oxide, your child will remain awake. Most children are able to proceed with treatment calmly and relaxed, with a feeling of well-being.
Some children are so anxious that nitrous oxide is not adequate for them remain calm for treatment. Other children have significant treatment needs which, even with the aid of nitrous oxide, would require multiple cooperative visits to complete care. For these children, we offer complete treatment under general anesthesia, in which your child falls asleep, but has vital functions, such as breathing, constantly supported and monitored by experienced MD and Dental Anesthesiologists.
Typically, a child’s dental needs are all addressed in a single appointment, making it ideal for young or very anxious patients who may have extensive needs.
